Cartridge Recycling
D&D Office Plus is committed to taking care of our Earth.
We have been recycling empty inkjet and laser jet cartridges
for our partners since 1996 and saved thousands of cartridges from
going to landfills.
Benefits of recycling cartridges:
- Less chance of toxic waste getting into the soil. Ink cartridges, like many items, can leak toxic chemicals no matter where they are put. Even in landfill, those nasty chemicals can leak into the ground. It has been estimated that almost 300 million ink cartridges are dumped annually. This amounts to 75,000 tons of trash. It's mind boggling. Not only is this bad for Mother Earth but it is also dangerous for us humans who like to drink water and eat.
- Each recycled cartridge saves about 3 pounds of natural resources that would otherwise be used to produce virgin cartridges.
- Recycled cartridges also save 3.5 oz. of oil required to produce new containers.
- It takes 1,000 years for a cartridge to decompose. Even more when it is inside a landfill.
We accept all types of cartridges for recycling regardless of where it was purchased.
